"WinScale" Digitizer Software, for Roofers

Rock Technologies Corporation has undertaken the task of integrating "state of the art" hardware with software programs that not only provide an advanced measuring and take-off program, but also operate in conjunction with all other spreadsheet /database / estimating software on the market.  Roctek provides a unique combination of features for estimators:  the edge of working with a proven, successful industry leader and innovator, while running specialized software that works right along with your preferred estimating methods, .e.g., Excel or Lotus spreadsheets.

"WinScale":  Architectural & Framing Take-Off     

Winscale is the fruit of Roctek's most recent efforts, bringing the highest quality take-off software into the Windows age.  WinScale is the first of many Roctek products to fully capitalize on the ease and user-friendliness of Windows. Winscale will help you perform a detailed quantity survey in CSI Divisions 8 measuring square footage, squares, linear footage, counts and framing quantities.  In addition, WinScale lets you create custom formulas for more detailed computations, and also features 3-dimensional take-offs for roofing, framing and many other type of structural components.

And because WinScale is written specifically for Windows, you can interface directly with all other applications, including spreadsheets, estimating programs, or custom database applications.  WinScale is designed to be able to work either stand alone or in conjunction with any Windows spreadsheet (Excel, Lotus, Quattro Pro, etc.), Database (Paradox, Access etc.), or estimating program (Timberline , WinEst, HCSS, and any Windows program). WinScale is remarkably easy to learn - our typical user is very comfortable in about 20 minutes.

WinScale measures areas, lengths, and counts items. It also has a formula generator that lets you apply an equation to any measurement, and has unique 3-dimensional takeoff abilities that provide solutions for framing, roofing, and practically any other building trade. Among these features are roof layouts with hips, valleys, joists and all. These aren't just "assemblies" where you provide a simple factor - these features actually draw and layout components exactly as they will be built - and report the precise quantities (including buy quantities). All at the click of a button.
