For estimators doing architectural or structural take-offs who need to take-off standard blueprints and also do digital, "paper-less" take-offs from PDF's and downloaded drawings, we recommend the following. Roctek's SoftScale software draws, prints and stores a picture of each item measured from standard blueprints using a digitizer, and also on-screen measurements from PDF's and downloaded e-drawings. Package # 7 will also work directly with your current Excel, Lotus, or Quattro spreadsheets. Requires a standard Windows PC, Pentium II or better, with color monitor and two (2) USB ports.
